With over 30 years of experience in the home improvement industry, Leigha Heydt is a leading figure in bespoke interior design throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. A UC Berkeley graduate, Leigha discovered her passion for architecture while renovating a 1922 Tudor in Oakland's historic Rockridge District.

As a licensed Class "B" General Building Contractor in California, Leigha combines her expertise in landscape design and residential construction to deliver exceptional results. Her design philosophy emphasizes quiet luxury, focusing on enduring design that prioritizes timeless materials and quality craftsmanship, ensuring lasting beauty in every project.

Leigha’s collaborative approach fosters strong partnerships with clients, seamlessly translating their visions into reality. Passionate about integrating indoor and outdoor spaces, she strives to create harmonious environments that enhance family life.

Gilyana Sandzhieva

Senior Designer

We are thrilled to introduce the newest member of the Heydt Designs team—Gilyana! With a unique background and a captivating story, Gilyana brings a fresh perspective and a wealth of knowledge to our design family.

Gilyana Sandzhieva started her professional journey in law before discovering her true passion for design. She launched her career in Moscow, completing an interior design program and gaining valuable experience. After moving to the Bay Area, she continued to build her expertise, working on high-end residential projects for various prominent Bay Area architects and interior designers, as well as cultivating a few of her own clients.

Gilyana has a passion for fashion, art, and contemporary culture. She appreciates spaces which embody the essence of both the surrounding environment and its inhabitants, weaving together a story that reflects each client’s needs, experiences, and aspirations. She is currently furthering her expertise in the Interior Design and Architecture in an extension program at the UC Berkeley.

When not working on projects, Gilyana enjoys traveling, exploring vintage flea markets, and visiting art exhibitions.

Leigha is a great find!
