Leigha Heydt was our second architect hired for our project. The first didn't work out due to lack of understanding each others goals and budget. Leigha was a breath of fresh air in every way. She took out the intimidation factor in our first remodel experience. We immediately loved her straight forward honest approach and her knowledge of building a home (she has contractor experience). She was quick at assesing our needs and got straight to work on our plans. The plans were extremely professional with meticulous details that made every process after (finding contractors, engineers, etc and getting town approval) a breeze. We hired Leigha to help with a kitchen/family room, office, laundry room and bath remodel. I think it's because she really listens to what her clients are saying. On one decision she really pushed us to go a step further than we had planned and to install a different window where a seemingly suitable window already existed. We hired Leigha from Heydt Designs for our kitchen remodel and couldn't be happier with the results. Our original kitchen was cramped, dark and not very functional. We now have 3 large picture windows, an open layout and a huge island that is perfect for entertaining. The kitchen is the same square footage but everyone thinks we added more. Leigha was extremely professional, always on time, provided extensive details in her CAD drawings and went above and beyond throughout the entire process.
